Where can I learn martial arts online?
KD asked:
I am looking for a site or video, that teaches martial arts online for free.
I cannot access any martial arts gyms etc. as i live in the countryside. But it would be useful to learn tecniques martial arts or self defence should i ever need them.
Thanks alot

That guy above me gave some great answers.
dont be stupid you can not learn martial arts over internet, videos or books… they only work if you already know the basics (for example, basic footwork etc…)…when you know the basics you can upgrade your knowledge with media… especially when it comes reality based self defense media is useless… you need someone who will show you the correct way to perform different moves BUT LIVE…you need a sparing partner! if you try to learn them with videos you will probably learn them wrong (you wont get the needed power from shoots…)
learning over media will only give you false level of confidence and you will get hurt …
try to go somewhere to get some proper training… you need at least 2 martial arts trainings a week (plus strength trainings at home) to be effective …
I completely agree with Cool’s answer. The internet and other media may allow an experienced martial artist to parse out something valuable, but one cannot learn any martial art from a book, website, or video alone. Doing so can even be dangerous as improper applications of techniques are not only ineffectual but can cause damage to you.
